October turned out to be another challenging month for my portfolio. My total portfolio market value fell from $579,339.26 at the end of September to $554,696.54, a decline of $24,642.72 (-4.3%). Broad pullbacks across key holdings—including blue-chip heavyweights like Keppel Ltd, DBS, OCBC, ST Engineering, and Mapletree Industrial Trust—weighed on the overall valuation this month. Singapore bank stocks were sold off sharply in early October.
This is the second consecutive month of decline. Since reaching my highest month-end portfolio value of $598,051.35 in August, my portfolio has now fallen by $43,354.81 (-7.2%), and it is the lowest month-end value since April ($552,200.43).
My unrealised gain is down from 26.9% to 21.5%, roughly where I started the year (21%).
As expected, I did not receive any dividends in October. I have collected $23,140.50 so far, still $85.32 short of the whole of 2025 ($23,225.82). I should pass last year’s total in November.
