My Investment Portfolio - SG (End Mar 2026)

No transactions where made in the month.

Due to Trump's decision to attack Iran, my Total Portfolio Market Value dipped to January 2026 level. The Fear and Greed Index had also went into extreme fear in the month of Mar due to the escalation of events in Middle East.

I had wanted to dip into the market but decided to hold off my purchase with the upcoming acquisition and preferential offering by Ascendas Reit. I will likely apply for excess units during this preferential offering.

I have been looking forward to a bumper dividends this year, but I guess Trump has other plans. Even if Trump TACO (Trump Always Chicken Out) and stop the attack, claiming to have achieved the goals set out, we will still continue to face the effects of the attack. The shipments had been disrupted, tankers had been destroyed or damaged, infrastructure had been destroyed. All of these take time to repair and reinstate, some could take months while others would take years.

With the USA mid-term elections coming up, I do believe that a strong signal will be sent to Trump, showing voters' dissent. All of these will result in more uncertainly, more government shutdowns, maybe even impeachments again.

As always even in such uncertain times, crisis can be turned into opportunities. Staying invested in fundamentally sounded stocks is a key. Buying the dip in batches may be ideal too.
